- I am Swedish. I have five children. I'm a teacher of future teachers Thursdays and Fridays, the rest of the week (including evenings and weekends) I work for Atkins Academy helping young black people raise their aspirations, maximise their potential and create opportunities for success. The Academy was founded in February 2008 by my partner John Atkins and yours truly, and we are currently working towards City & Guilds accreditation and independent school status.
- What experiences/interests do you have that we might find interesting?
- I'm a qualified teacher of English, Media & Communication and Teaching (andragogics). I also teach Personal & Professional Development, Business Studies, Strategic Management, Problem Solving, Numeracy and other Key Skill subjects. I'm a mentor and a life coach for young black people. I've been a single mother for 16 years. I've been running my own businesses since 1986, so have extensive knowledge of entrepreneurship, problem solving and creative solutions. I'm the editor of "English for Business, Communication and Development" a self-reference/coursebook on the functional aspects of Business Communication in English.

Happy New Year!!!!

Obama Did It and so Can We!
As of Monday 16 February we have a volunteer fundraiser!! John and I are proud and happy to say welcome aboard to Kate O'Donohue who will be the Project Co-ordinator for fundraising. Obama based his whole presidential election campaign on small contributions from ordinary people who believed in his cause.
